PURPOSE: A device and a method for transmitting and receiving a signal are provided to improve signal transmission and reception performance by easily recovering a transmission signal. CONSTITUTION: A service stream is error-correction encoded(S110). An error-correction encoded bit is interleaved(S120). Sub streams are outputted by demultiplexing the interleaved bit stream(S130). The demultiplexed sub streams as successively selected. The bits included in the selected sub stream is symbol-mapped(S140). A signal frame is formed(S150). The mapped symbol is arranged in at least one frequency band and the slot which is temporally divided in the frequency band. The signal frame is converted into time domains according to an OFDM method. A guard interval is inserted into OFDM symbols which are converted into the time domain(S160). A preamble identifying the signal frame is inserted into a start part of the signal frame of at least one RF band(S170).
