The device has gluing station with glue application head (3). A feeding element (33) is arranged upstream in the transport direction (z) of glue application head. Constituent parts of semifinished products are guided by feeding region. The feeding region is tapered in the transport direction of the semifinished products. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) a gluing station for semifinished products, particularly for installation in bottom laying device for cross bottom valve sacks; and (2) a method for subsequent processing of semifinished products, particularly bottom laying device for cross bottom valve sacks.
