Roof window has a lower sash (3) mounted in the common window frame (1) with the main pivot sash (2), situated in the upper part of this window frame, in addition the lower sash is opened as a tilt window turning around its horizontal axis of rotation situated at its bottom and the window is fitted with side shields (4, 6) filling the space between the lower sash (3) and the window frame (1) in all stages of this window opening.
