HYBRID BUTTON DEVICE WITH A TOUCH SENSING FUNCTION

The present invention relates to a hybrid button device with a touch sensing function.  A button device for use in various host systems comprises: a button section for manipulating functions of the host system through a control section in response to manipulation made by a user so as to control different functions, the button section being formed of a PCB pattern and a dorm sheet to output a key value corresponding to a push-button operation; and a capacitance meter connected to the button section, for measuring a capacitance when a touch operation is performed on the button section, wherein the capacitance meter determines whether to operate or not once a touch operation is performed on the button section and a corresponding key value is output through the control section to control functions of the host system.  The present invention with the configuration described above is advantageous in that a button device with a touch sensing function can easily be implemented without modifying the structure of a digital device having the existing button section.
