A movably extending canopy frame for truck includes a pair of slide rails (10) arranged on each side of the carriage of the truck. An annular steel cable (1) is arranged in the interior of the guide (10) by front and rear puellys (14, 15). A predetermined number of slide seats (20) are covered on the exterior of the slide rails (10). Each slide seat (12, 13) is inserted in a prearranged guide groove (101) by a guide block (21) and connected with the steel cable (1). The corresponding slide seats (12, 13) at each side are fixed to both ends of a base rod (310) of a sail frame (30). Extending rod arms (32) are arranged between the base rods (31) to achieve linkage relation. A canvas (34) is arranged between the base rods. The operation of unfolding or folding the canvas is achieved by the drive of the front pulley connecting rod (16) which is controlled by a driving device (18) at one side. The movement of the steel cable (1) is controlled by the forward and reverse rotation of the front pulley connecting rod (16) so as to realize the folding or unfolding functions of the sail frame, meet the requirement of covering sand and the like loaded on the truck without obstructing convenience for pouring the sand.
