NOISE REDUCTION DEVICE FOR MOTOR DRIVEN POWER STEERING SYSTEM

PURPOSE: A noise reduction device for an electric power steering system is provided to reduce operating noise from a tilt bearing while steering by flexibly supporting a movement of a tilt bearing and a warm gear shaft. CONSTITUTION: A noise reduction device for an electric power steering system comprises: a tilt bearing(14) which rotatably supports a worm gear shaft(12) on the side which faces the worm gear shaft of a coupling; an elastic projection which elastically supports the tilt bearing; and an elastomer which elastically supports the coupling and pushes toward the worm gear. The elastomer comprises a stopper(15) which is installed on a motor shaft and a coil spring(16) which is placed between string seats in the coupling.
