<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To determine whether a relationship between pages such as an order of each printed page is correct or not by a small processing load. <P>SOLUTION: A printer controller 20 outputs document image data of each page of documents in an order of printing by a printer 40. When a page consistency inspection device 30 acquires the document image data, it recognizes an image of an area of a page number in the data. And then it inspects whether or not a relationship between the recognized page number, and a page number recognized from document image data acquired one prior to the document image data is right. In the composition, the page number is recognized from the document image data. In conventional technology wherein a printing result is read and a page number is recognized from a read image, post-processing for removing random disturbance elements included in the read image is necessary for accurate recognition, but in the composition, such post-processing is unnecessary. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
