<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To precisely detect defects consequent on a paper deformation brought about in an image forming process. <P>SOLUTION: A control method of an image forming apparatus is provided, in which a printing result image is formed to a sheet of paper on the basis of original image data, and sound generated in the image forming processing can be acquired as sound information. The control method includes a step S12 for acquiring printing result image data acquired by reading the printing result image, a step S14 for acquiring the sound information from the image forming apparatus, and a step S22 for carrying out detection of the defects by using the sound information acquired in the step S14 to the printing result image data acquired in the step S12. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
