Galvanic cell for a rechargeable battery

The cell (1) has a current collector (2), and a casing (3) for partially surrounding the cell. A connection region (4) is attached to the casing, which is provided with a polyethylene foil layer (5) and an aluminum foil layer. The casing is partially connected with the current collector in the connection region. The aluminum foil layer exhibits higher elasticity modulus than that of the polyethylene foil layer. A fiber-type structure (7) is arranged in a direction of tensile force, and the casing is attached to a conducting device (8). An independent claim is also included for a battery comprising a wall for partially surrounding a galvanic cell.
