A system and method for measuring pressure within a borehole involves using two pressure sensing gauges 82, 84 disposed within one or more pressure gauge assemblies 70a, 70b. Each of the pressuregauge assemblies 70a, 70b comprises an assembly hydraulic connector cooperating with said one or more pressure sensing gauges 82, 84 disposed therein, the one or more pressure gauge assemblies 70a, 70b being configured to expose said two pressure sensing gauges 82, 84 therein to said pressure. The system also has a pocket 62 containing a tool hydraulic connector 74a, 74b, the pocket being disposed on an outer surface of a wall of a formation tester tool section 10a. The one or more pressure gauge assemblies 70a, 70b are removably disposed within the pocket 62, and are axially aligned. The two pressure sensing gauges 82, 84 are disposed in a plane essentially normal to the radius of said formation tool tester section. The one or more assembly hydraulic connectors 74a, 74b and said tool hydraulic connector cooperate to hydraulically couple the one or more pressure gauge assemblies 70a, 70b to a fluid flow line and to a hydraulic flow line within said formation tester tool section. |
