PURPOSE: A method and a circuit for generating a high voltage are provided to minimize power consumption by generating an output power voltage interlocked with the size of a load driving signal when the high voltage is generated. CONSTITUTION: A high voltage transform unit(10) boosts input power to an output power voltage with a preset size. A sensor(20) senses the output voltage of the high voltage transform unit. A comparison unit(30) compares a power control signal with the voltage sensed by the sensor. A driving controller interlocks the output power voltage of the high voltage transform unit with the output signal of the driving circuit by controlling the operation of the high voltage transform unit according to the output signal of the comparison unit. A power control signal is identical to or correlated to the input signal of the load driving circuit.
