The grid has a reflector (17) limiting a monitoring region (10) and reflecting light of a light transmitter (4) in a direction of a receiver (11). A control- and evaluation unit (18) controls the transmitter and evaluates light intensities detected by the receiver. The control- and evaluation unit determines movement directions (B) of a transmitter-receiver unit (2) and/or the reflector for correcting an error position of the transmitter-receiver unit with respect to the reflector based on the intensities. A display device (26) with a LED (21) displays the directions to a user. An independent claim is also included for a method for alignment of a multi-beam reflection light grid.
