The method involves quantity-based transportation of polymer dispersion to an injector (5) using a peristaltic pump (7). Water is injected into the transported polymer dispersion using the injector. Shearing of the polymer dispersion is performed in a booster pump (11). A pressurized conveying unit (15) is provided in an inlet (9) that extends from a polymer dispersion supply unit to the injector. The conveying unit flushes the injector before conveying the polymer dispersion. The conveying unit cleans the injector after conveying the polymer dispersion. An independent claim is also included for a device for dissolving polymer dispersion with water.
