The blower device has a blower wheel (16) for circulating a gaseous fluid, and has a flow directing element (18) for separating a pressure chamber (48) from a suction chamber (50). The flow directing element limits an inflow opening (34) for suction of gaseous fluid from the suction chamber in the pressure chamber in the operation of the blower wheel. Another flow directing element (20) is fastened or formed on the blower wheel.
