PURPOSE: A character input device is provided to minimize the occurrence of input errors and rapidly correct the input errors by providing predicted words based on word database. CONSTITUTION: When character keys are touched continuously, a control unit(30) reads out predicted words including character string from anticipated words, and displays the predicted words in a certain region sequentially. When a drag operation occurs in the display unit, the control unit selects a certain word from the predicted words according to the drag characteristics. The control unit calculates the length of the drag, and selects the predicted word sequentially whenever the drag length exceeds the preset unit length. |
