PURPOSE: An image forming apparatus searching method using a server, a host apparatus and system for performing the method are provided to search various image forming devices without the restriction of a searching method. CONSTITUTION: A storage unit(410) stores a printer application program for using an image forming device, and a selection unit(430) selects the searching method for the image forming device through the printer application program. When the selection unit selects a printer management program search option, a transmission and reception unit(440) receives a search list including the information on a host device and a connectable image forming device and calls up the printer management program. An interface unit(450) connects the selected image forming device to the host device.
