PURPOSE: A method for remotely controlling a portable terminal and a system therefor are provided to control the function of a mobile terminal remotely. CONSTITUTION: A slave contains a wireless communication unit(210), a storage unit(240) and a control unit(230). If at least one function is set up from a master, the slave confirms whether or not the master is authenticated. The slave sets up the requested function. When a corresponding event happens, the slave performs the set function. The master controls the function of the slave remotely.
