PROTECTION SWITCHING METHOD IN MULTIPLE ETHERNET RING NETWORK

PURPOSE: A protection switching method in a multiple Ethernet ring network is provided to flush an FDB(Filtering DataBase) of a selectively necessary node during an error in a lower ring or to modify a part which needs to be modified in the FDB. CONSTITUTION: A message implying the deletion of addresses corresponding to a message receiving port is received. When a ring node is a general ring node, the message is transmitted to the next ring node of a ring network to which the ring node belongs. When the ring node is a shared ring node, the message is transmitted to the next ring node belonging to an upper ring. Addresses corresponding to the port receiving the message are deleted from the FDB of the ring node.
