PURPOSE: An electromagnetic contactor is provided to prevent the negligent accident due to the exhaustion of arc gas by inserting a hook part of an upper cover into an arc gas exhaust hole in an upper frame. CONSTITUTION: An upper frame(1) has a connector area(1a). A plurality of arc gas exhaust holes are formed in the upper frame. An upper cover(2) is arranged on the upper frame in order to expose the connector area. The hook part of the upper cover is inserted into the arc gas exhaust hole of the upper frame. A supplementary cover covers the connector area. The supplementary cover comprises a cover plate, a shield plate, and a connection projection. The shield plate shields the connector area. The connection projection is expanded from the shield plate.
