PURPOSE: A character input device is provided to minimize the touches of character keys by providing the predicted words based on a word database in a mobile terminal having character button size. CONSTITUTION: A storage unit(20) stores the position information of character keys. When selecting at least one character key, a control unit(30) not only searches the words including a character string that comprises a selected character keys but also displays the searched words in a certain region. If there is no searched word, the control unit forms a new character string in a character of a character key adjacent to at least one character and displays the searched words in the certain region of the display region. |
