The invention relates to the installations for mechanical treatment of wastes from mining and processing enterprises (pulp) up to the state ensuring reuse of clarified liquid in the process of ore concentration, while forming thickened pulp before its subsequent shipment. A vertical thickener includes a prismatic body with a bottom in the form of an inverted pyramid, a loading cup in the central part of the thickener, a loading tray for feeding the pulp in the loading cup, clarification modules located between the body and the loading cup with packets of parallel inclined plates in each of them, unloading pipes for clarified water and thickened pulp, in the case the body, bottom and feed tray are made in the form of reinforced concrete structures sunk into the ground, and the top of prismatic body, loading cup and feed tray are located at the same level. The invention provides for reduction of energy consumption and efficiency increase of the thickener, as well as stability of operation in emergency situations. |
