A method for growing laboratory populations of the ectoparasite Habrobracon (Habrobracon hebetor Say) includes directed action on the organism of the host insects where entomophages develop. Caterpillars of the host insect, in the organism of which habrobracon develop at the stage of larvae of the second–third age, are singly ionized with negative aeroions in a concentration of 350-380 ths. ions in 1 mof air with an exposition of 3.0-3.5 hours. After rebirth of females, a diet in the composition of a 3% aqueous solution of lactose and modified ribonucleic acid (RNA) in a concentration of 0.02-0.03 % is fed thereto. |
