A method for selecting specialized species of the genera Trichogramma includes infecting and collecting eggs of host insectsof of Trichogramma in natural conditions. Collection of eggs of the currant borer moth (Aegeria tipuliformis Cl.) is carried out in currant agrocenoses preliminary. Those eggs only are collected which females lay in different natural shelters, in particular under flakes, in cracks of bark, bases of leaves. In laboratory conditions a passage in eggs of the currant borer moth is carried out in the course of three generations. After the second passage, females of Trichogramma, after mating thereof, are fed with a diet as a 5 % aqueous honey solution. |
