<p>PURPOSE: A selective paging system and a method thereof are provided to converts a paging method used in an MSC(Mobile Switching Center) based on an RNC(Radio Network Controller) region. CONSTITUTION: An RNC(100) request the location information update according to the location change of a user terminal in an RNC zone, and an MSC(300) confirms an RNC region where the user terminal located based on the location information update request received from the RNC. The MSC sets up a paging area, and performs the paging the location area based on the set paging region. An SGSN(Serving GPRS Support Node)(200) requests the information update depending on the location change of the user terminal on the service zone.</p> |
