The method involves inserting a central core (10) of a wiring harness (2) inside a hollow rear part (4) of an electrical connector (3). A terminal zone (20') of a shielding braid (20) of the wiring harness is provided around an exterior surface of the rear part, where electrical continuity between the shielding braid and the rear part is assured using MAPELEC(RTM: conductive ink) (5) placed between the zone and the rear part. The shielding braid is clamped against the rear part by using a clamping unit (50) e.g. screw collar. An independent claim is also included for an electrical lead comprising an electric connector.
