The method involves moving a piston (10) in translation under action of connecting rod (15) connected to the piston and to a crank pin of a crankshaft (17), where the piston carries out stroke between top and bottom dead centers. An intake valve (4) is placed in the piston and connected to reception zone (5). Field of forces is applied between a pusher piece (6) and the zone for opening the intake valve and limiting intensity of the field of forces, so that mechanical constraints induced in the piece and in the zone are less than respective elastic materials of the pieces. An independent claim is also included for an internal combustion engine comprising a cylinder with a combustion chamber.
