PURPOSE: A mobile terminal and a method for displaying thereof are provided to independently perform a control screen display and an image display on an external screen by using a projector module. CONSTITUTION: A display unit(151) displays a control screen related to an image display of an external screen among image displays using a projector module, and a user input unit(130) receives a user operation by using a control picture displayed. A control unit(180) controls a control screen corresponding to the user operation to be displayed through a user input unit. The control unit controls the projector module to keep the display of an first image independently through the display of the control screen.
