A SKIN PROTECTIVE COMPOSITION FROM ECKLONIA STOLONIFERA

PURPOSE: A composition containing eckstolonol and phlorofucofuroeckol A isolated from Ecklonia stolonifera is provided to suppress skin damage, to protect skin cells, and to ensure skin whitening and anti-wrinkle effects. CONSTITUTION: A pharmaceutical composition for protecting skin contains eckstolonol and phlorofucofuroeckol A isolated from Ecklonia stolonifera extract as active ingredients. A functional cosmetic composition for protecting skin contains the eckstolonol and phlorofucofuroeckol A. A method for isolating eckstolonol and phlorofucofuroeckol A comprises: a step of extracting Ecklonia stolonifera with ethanol to obtain ethanol extract; a step of obtaining EtOAc fraction having high anti-oxidation effects; and a step of performing primary and secondary chromatography for enhancing anti-oxidation and skin whitening.
