PURPOSE: A device and a method for displaying a video are provided to allow a user to watch a 3D stereo-image and 2D image according to the position of an observer. CONSTITUTION: A light source(120) radiates light through a backlight module. A pixel expressing unit(140) forms one of a left and right image by a predetermined frame rate. An optical unit(130) is synchronized with the predetermined frame rate. The optical unit changes the light into an oriented light having at least one direction. The optical unit supplies the changed light to a pixel expression unit.
