The method involves detecting presence of complementary information e.g. metadata, indicating presence of changing of shot, during interval time of visual or audio visual document localized in a time by introduction of manual command, at level of an reproducing apparatus, specifying a given instant, during reproduction of the document. The complementary information is replaced into another complementary information indicating presence of the changing of scene at a specific moment by the former complementary information. An independent claim is also included for a display apparatus comprising a visual or audio visual document display unit.
