PURPOSE: A rubber composition for a snow tire tread is provided to improve a stopping distance on a snow or icy road by performing a hard spike function through the contact of porous oyster shell powder with the road. CONSTITUTION: A rubber composition for a snow tire tread for vehicles comprises a base rubber, reinforcing agent, foaming agent and other additives. The rubber composition further comprises 5-30 weight% oyster shell powder surface-treated with a coupling agent. The coupling agent is stearic acid or stearate. The size of oyster shell powder is 0.3-0.7 mm.
