PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the convenience of a user by increasing a security level according as it goes toward the later level, and preventing the acceptance of the others whose authentication is not originally acceptable, and preventing the denial of the acceptance of a principal concerning biometrics authentication for performing multi-level authentication whose security level is made different by using biological information. SOLUTION: An authentication system (2) includes multi-step biometrics authentication devices (10, 20, and 30), and is configured to sequentially progress to an area whose security level is high. In the authentication system (2), the biological information (106, 206, 306) obtained in authentication in the previous step is transmitted to the biological authentication device in the next step, and personal identification is performed based on the biological information as well as registered registration biological information (102, 202, and 302).
