<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of strongly joining a pair of joining members to each other by holding a component to be clamped between the oppositely facing pair of joining members and by providing a high airtightness between the joining members and the component to be clamped. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In the provided method, a pair of joining members 10, 20 are prepared having opposing faces 12, 22 formed on the opposing sides and having projections 14, 24 projected from the opposing faces. The joining members 10, 20 are arranged so that at least a part of the component 30 to be clamped is held between the opposing faces 12, 22 and that the projections 14, 24 are opposite to each other. Then, the joining members 10, 20 are brought close to each other, and at least the tip ends of the projections 14, 24 are joined to each other in a state where a prescribed gap is present between the component 30 to be clamped and the opposing faces 12, 22.
