<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lid with a translucent window which has a superior mechanical strength and a superior airtightness by preventing cracks such as breaking or chapping of a window because of impact applied to the lid with a translucent window or a decline in airtightness because of delamination. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A lid with a translucent window is composed of a metallic frame and an opening formed nearly in the center thereof. A translucent window is formed in the opening, and an annular dent nearly concentric with the opening is formed in the periphery of the opening of the frame and between the periphery of the opening and the peripheral edge of the frame.
