<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide efficient retransmission processing that does not have waste inside slots, in a retransmission frame. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In a system for performing communication that uses a plurality of antennas, slots 1 and 2 are transmitted from an antenna 1 and slots 3 and 4 are transmitted from an antenna 2, while being configured into frame. On the reception side, the presence/absence of errors is checked by slot. If there is an error in the slots 1 and 4, the information indicating the presence of error in the slots 1 and 4 is reported from the reception side to the transmission side. On the transmission side, the slots 1 and 4 are embedded in a frame constituted of two slots, and the slots 1 and 4 are retransmitted from the antennas 1 and 2, respectively.
