PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hair cosmetic preventing further damages, while improving the volume of the hair, lost by aging. SOLUTION: This hair cosmetic contains (A) 0.1 to 2 mass% acrylic acid-based polymer, (B) 0.1 to 3 mass% ≤8C organic carboxylic acid or its salt and (C) 10 to 50 mass% polyhydric alcohol or sugar alcohol. The acrylic acid-based polymer (A) contains monomer units expressed by general formula (1) and general formula (2) [wherein, R<SP>1</SP>is H or methyl; R<SP>2</SP>is H or -CH<SB>2</SB>OH; A is O or -NH-; R<SP>3</SP>is H or methyl; and M is H, an alkali metal, ammonium or an amine].
