PURPOSE: An apparatus and method for transmitting and receiving control information in a broadband wireless communication system using a half frequency division duplex are provided to transmit control information to all terminal with low overhead by extending a terminal reception mode interval thorough duplication transmission. CONSTITUTION: One or more symbol of the control information sub-frame is received through a final down link sub-frame of the full frame of the control information transmission frame.
