<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gate drive circuit and an inverter circuit using the same, which have a circuit configuration for securing a voltage deviation regarding a reference potential as a negative voltage so as to obtain a redundant operation and prevent short-circuit faults due to misoperations, or the like, even in cases where there is a possibility of causing the short-circuit fault, by deviating gate potential by external noise and noise, or the like, during switching and by generating the incorrect operation, when a threshold voltage is lowered because a bidirectional switch is required to lower the gate threshold voltage so as to reduce the on-resistance. <P>SOLUTION: The gate drive circuit applies the bidirectional switch 1 having 4 operation modes, by turning each of a first gate terminal 2 and a second gate terminal 3 on and off to a half-bridge circuit is connected in series, and includes an optimum voltage generator for securing a deviation between the ON-voltage and the OFF-voltage of the first gate terminal 2 or the second gate terminal 3, lowers the on-resistance by lowering the gate threshold voltage, and circumvent unnecessary turn-ons or turn-offs, even when noise is supeirmposed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
