<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To acquire the number of preceding taped electric components or connected taped electric components when an electric component is to be supplied from the connected taped electric components having a front end of subsequent taped electric components connected with a rear end of the preceding taped electric components while supplying the component. <P>SOLUTION: An apparatus of supplying electric components includes a connection section detector for detecting a connection section of the connected taped electric components. The number of electric components existing between a connection section detecting position and a component supply position is calculated based on a distance between both positions and a holding pitch of the electric components of the preceding taped electric components after the connection section is detected. A count value C of a residual amount counter is set to a value of the calculated number of the electric components plus the number of the electric components included in the connected subsequent taped electric components (S12).
