<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a suction head mounting solder balls on a body to be mounted with no shortage. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The suction head has a head body for sucking a spherical granule to an edge of a suction hole through intake air from the suction hole, and the head body includes a fixed plate 42, suction pipes 32 which are fitted to the fixed plate 42 in such a way that tips 32b are protruded from the fixed plate 42 and openings 32c of the tips 32b function as suction holes, and a moving plate 33 which has insertion holes 51 into which the suction pipes 32 and solder balls 100 can be inserted and which is configured to contact and leave the fixed plate 42 in a state in which the suction pipes 32 are inserted into the insertion holes 51.
