<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical module facilitating formation of a structure with a WDM (Wavelength Division Multiplexing) filter mounted thereon. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The optical module 10A includes a housing 16 for fixing an optical fiber 90, and first and second optical devices 12, 14 to each other, and the WDM filter 20. The housing 16 has: a first inner hole 16a with one end attached to the optical fiber 90 and the other end attached to the first optical device 12; a second inner hole 16b intersecting with the first inner hole 16a, and having a second optical device 14 attached to its one end; and an inner hole 16c for the filter which passes a position where the first and second inner holes 16a, 16b intersect with each other and which intersects with each of the first and second inner holes 16a, 16b. The inner hole 16c for the filter has an inner wall surface having a predetermined curvature within a plane intersecting the extension direction of the inner hole 16c for the filter, and the WDM filter 20 is bonded and fixed to the inner wall surface.
