<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a partition that prevents a partitioning portion from being crushed caused by a decrease in the elasticity of a material composing the partition and is able to cope with spherical items of a plurality of sizes. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The partition 1 includes: a straight middle crease 20 disposed in the lengthwise middle of the partition 1 so as to be parallel to the widthwise direction thereof; inner creases 30 and 40 arranged at equal distance from the middle crease 20 with this crease between them and formed straight so as to be parallel to the middle crease; a first wing-like portion 50 that is formed of an area extending toward the middle crease 20 from a basal end edge 31 located in the middle of the inner crease 30 and is freely set upward; and a second wing-like portion 50 that is formed of an area extending toward the middle crease 20 from basal end edges 41 and 41 located on both sides of the inner crease 40 and is freely set upward.
