<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely prevent splashing when pouring in filth by allowing stable and sure placement and setting with respect to a filth sink. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The filth sink contamination-infection prevention device 1 is integrally formed of a front cover face 15 covering the front of a filth sink body 7, side cover faces 17 covering both sides in the front area of the filth sink body 7 and a ceiling cover face 19 covering the upper part surrounded with the front cover face 15 and both the side cover faces 17, with its rear and lower sides opened. The width D from the side cover face 17 to the side cover face 17 is formed into such a length as outward extending from both the side ribs of an opening circumferential rib 21, and the back face side of the front cover face 15 has a support shelf 23 to be mounted on the rib upper face of the opening circumferential edge rib 21, and a projection 25 extending downward from the support shelf 23 and facing the front cover face 15 in the other side thereof, with the opening circumferential edge rib 21 defined as a center.
