<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slide-assisting device which can be used in various ways with its simplified structure and has an improved usability. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This slide-assisting device helps an operation of drawing out a movable body from its drawn-in position to its drawn-out position against its body. The device includes: a drawn-out unit 1A having a slider 2 which is mounted on either one of the body and the movable body and is slidable in the same direction with the movable body, a lock member 3 which is assembled with the slider and is movable in the direction roughly perpendicular against the sliding direction of the movable body, and having a spring member 4 in which a biasing force can be stored in the sliding process of the movable body in the drawn-in direction; and an operation member 5 having a first cam section 47 which is mounted on the other one of the body and the movable body and enables the lock member to be shifted to a lock position, a second cam section 48 which enables the lock member to be shifted to an unlock position, and which makes the movable body slidable to the drawn-out position from the halfway position with the biasing force of the spring member when the movable body is drawn out to a halfway position by shifting the lock member from the lock position in which the movable body and the slider are connected to the unlock position in which operation connection is released.
