<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably produce recycled particles having characteristics required as a filler for papermaking or a pigment for coating. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The method for producing the recycled particles includes a burning step of burning a dehydrated product of papermaking sludge in an oxygen-containing state, and a step of adding 0.3-2.0 pts.wt. sodium polycarboxylate as a dispersing agent based on 100 pts.wt. recycled particles expressed in terms of the solid component when obtaining a slurry by suspending the recycled particles in water.
