<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi-blade centrifugal fan and an air conditioner using the same, attaining the enhancement of performance, improving of efficiency, and reduction in noise by modifying the shapes of a hub and a blade. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The multi-blade centrifugal fan includes an impeller 11 having the hub 11, the blade 12 and a shroud 14, and a casing 2 pivotally supporting the impeller 11. A cross section of an outer circumference part side of the hub 13 in a meridian plane cross section of the impeller 11 is a curved surface shape 13B including an arc using the rear rim vicinity on the shroud 14 side end of the blade 12 as a center Φ1. An inner diameter in a hub 13 vicinity in a plurality of blade rows is smaller than an inner diameter in a shroud 14 vicinity, a front rim of the blade 12 is formed on a smooth recessed curved surface 12A toward a tangential section from a shroud 14 side to the hub 13 so as to smoothly contact the hub 13, and the tangential line of the tangential section is formed in a shape slanted to an intake side toward a rotation center Φ2.
