The brake has a frame shaped floating caliper (4) engaged above a brake disk and brake linings and adjustably mounted at a brake holder. Two lining guide rails (1) are aligned transverse to the disk at the holder and extend in a parallel arrangement. Each lining rail includes a rectangular profile with a vertical projection (2) that extends to a narrow side of a friction lining carrier e.g. hammer head, within a caliper bridge (6) of the caliper by a window-type recess (3). The carrier is guided and supported at the projection in sections with its narrow side aligned to the bridge.
