The air deflector device has a wheel spoiler (12) arranged in the area before a corresponding wheel (15). The wheel spoiler is distant downwards in its mounting position against an adjacent undercarriage area of the motor vehicle in vehicle vertical direction. An air conducting edge (18) of the wheel spoiler is designed in a non-uniform manner in a longitudinal area (20).
