The pump (10) has a pump unit (12) with a cylinder (31) comprising a cylinder longitudinal axis (Z) and a cylinder area (32), and a pump piston (30) arranged in the cylinder area in an axially movable manner. A drive unit (14) drives the pump unit, where the pump unit is arranged radially within a cam ring (17) of the drive unit. The cam ring rotates around a rotation axis (R) for driving the pump unit. The cam ring exhibits a cam that is arranged on an inner side of the cam ring, where the cam cooperates with the pump piston for driving the pump unit.
