The method involves providing a press-fit pin (1) e.g. clifa pin, and arranging a pin head (10) with respect to a segmented edge of a segmenting device. A segment of the pin head is molded by a molding device against the segmented edge. The pin head is arranged with respect to the segmenting edge of the segmenting device such that a theoretical plane is perpendicular to a molding edge and the pin head runs through an axis of rotation (R) of a cylindrical pin body (11) and represents a mirror symmetrical plane with respect to arrangement of a projection (12) of the pin head.
